Helping Keller Marriages Thrive

Meet Jonathan Atwell

Jonathan Atwell

I’m Jonathan Atwell — a licensed counselor associate and former pastor with more than 20 years of ministry experience. I help Christian couples in the Keller area reconnect through emotionally focused therapy grounded in biblical truth. Balancing busy schedules, church life, and raising children in Keller ISD can easily cause couples to drift into a “roommate marriage” dynamic instead of deep connection.

Are You Stuck in the Cycle?

Most couples who come to me for marriage counseling are not in crisis. They genuinely love each other, but they feel stuck in the same exhausting patterns, such as:

  • One spouse shutting down during conflict

  • The other spouse pushing harder to reconnect

  • Emotional distance and frustration

  • Stonewalling that leaves both people feeling unheard

  • Repeating the same arguments without resolution

  • Feeling disconnected beneath the surface despite loving each other

You may have already:

  • Prayed about your marriage challenges

  • Read Christian marriage books

  • Tried counseling before

  • Worked hard to improve communication on your own

In my work with couples, I help you identify and break the cycle of marriage conflict that keeps you apart. My approach focuses on:

  • Lasting emotional and spiritual healing

  • Rebuilding emotional intimacy and trust

  • Biblical marriage restoration

  • Creating stronger, healthier connection patterns

  • Reclaiming your marriage together in a meaningful way

Whether you’re enjoying life near Old Town Keller, spending weekends at Bear Creek Park, or simply trying to keep your marriage strong while raising a family, I believe lasting healing and deeper connection are possible.
